The 7th Foundation Day of MFPSN and AMIN

The 7th Foundation Day of Nepal Music and Film Producers Society of Nepal and the 22nd Foundation Day of  Association of Music Industry Nepal  were celebrated together on Bhadra 8, 2079. The program was presided over by Surya Magar, who is also the president of both organizations, while the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevanram Shrestha, was the chief guest.

In this program, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ministry’s Culture Division Head Ebum Co-Secretary Dr. Suresh Shrestha, Registrar of Nepal Copyright Registration Office Prahlad Pudasaini, Outgoing President of Music and Film Producers Society of Nepal Nirmalraj Dhakal, President of Presenters Society Shiv Hamal, Former President of National Folk and Dua Song Foundation of Nepal Chandra Sharma, Famous Director Shiv Bik, Model Ebum Music Business Baburam Bohra, famous singer ABAM founder Resham Sapkota, famous model Yakkan Budhathoki, central member of Nepal Industry and Trade Federation and Chairman of Film Entertainment Forum, Chairman of ABAM Film Producers Association Akash Adhikari, central member of Nepal Industry and Trade Federation and Chairman of Health and Skill Development Committee Hemraj Dhakal, Rajya Lakshmi Shah, president of Kirtipur Udhog Banijya Sangh, along with artists and journalists were present in large numbers.

The event was conducted by Sunil Lamichhane, General Secretary of Nepal Music Industry Association, while journalist Prakash Baraili “Abhibhakta” was the media coordinator. Vice President Hum Gayre gave a welcome speech at the event. On the occasion of the foundation day of both institutions, the cake was cut by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Hon’ble Jeevan Ram Shrestha.

On the same occasion, “Second Historical National Music Award – 2079” was publicly announced. Bhagwan Kumar Shrestha and Shamsher Shrestha, patrons of the society, were honored with the annual award 2079, while Tulsi Giri “Bhabuk” and Tulsi Baskota were honored with the music journalism award. Various artists and producers were honored in the program.

Royalty was distributed to producers of songs, music and movies in a program jointly organized on the occasion of the 7th Foundation Day of Music and Film Producers Society of Nepal and the 22nd Foundation Day of Nepal Music Industry Association. President Surya Magar emphasized that in the future, he is ready to give his life for the music producers and film producers in any situation and that the royalty collection and distribution will be made more transparent.

Not only in Nepal but also with international plate firms such as YouTube, Tik Tok, Facebook and other digital plate firms and producer’s ifpi, various contracts and rights including isrc number, as well as obtaining rights, as well as time-related standards have to be changed during the collection and distribution of royalties, Nepal Music unanimously decided on the day of the program. The constitution of the industry association has been amended. Chairman Surya Magar informed at the same program that the form of “Second Historical National Music Award – 2079” organized by Nepal Music Industry Association was opened.
